Our Financial Planning Process
Bringing clarity to your situation, whatever your future goals
Building long-term relationships based on trust
You are at the very heart of our financial planning process. Whatever vision of the future you have, our advisers work hard to understand your situation before recommending a financial plan tailored to your unique circumstances. Once set-up, you decide the level of service you require and how often you want to review your plans.
We offer a fully comprehensive, balanced approach, designed to bring clarity to your situation. Our financial planning process shows you where you are now, what your future needs and aspirations are, and what actions are necessary for you to reach those goals.
1. Understanding You
Using the information you give us we will make a full analysis of your assets, liabilities, cash flow, in addition to specialised areas such as investments or tax strategies, if required. We’ll explore and research various options to build on your existing plans.
We will then make our financial planning recommendations tailored to your situation and goals. At this stage we can also give a detailed summary of what our fees will be, the advice or service it relates to, how it’s calculated and when you need to pay it. Any concerns are listened to and revisions made as appropriate.
Your adviser will agree with you on how the recommendations are to be implemented. Most of our clients prefer us to do the necessary work to put your plan into action and if this is the case we will take responsibility for coordinating the whole process liaising with the provider or lender, saving you time and effort. The fees for this will have already been explained to you.
There is no obligation for you to follow our recommendations, if you don’t wish to or you want to implement the recommendations yourself, at this stage there may still be a charge for our time and advice.
It will be up to you to decide the most appropriate style and regularity of your ongoing relationship with us. We always recommend you check the progress and appropriateness of your plans regularly, at least once a year, to stay abreast of any changes to legislation or taxation, as well as to anticipate major changes in your life and work toward retirement.
